Game Name Cook it!
Players role

Player will use the mouse and/or arrow keys to select items.

Game objective To score points by getting as many items of as many recipe lists as possible
Learning objective

This game addresses the foods in various cultures as well as some cultural awareness At the end of this game, player will be able to:

  • correctly identify foods common to all various cultures as well as identify those peculiar to certain cultures
  • understand a simple recipe/ingredient list in the language
Description of Play

Player is presented with a list of ingredients for the recipe. The recipe list stays on the corner and as he /she collects the food items,which are shown as pictures, i.e. tomatoes in a basket or cheese in the fridge, they are ticked off. The item they are to get is highlighted on the list and they also hear the word for it. so they have to dind it in the correct section of the store. At the end of the game if they have successfully got all the required items, the reward for the player is the completed dish whown in a graphic. The more lists they complete, the higher their points/scores, if they don't succeed in completing a list, they are sent to the dungeon for not completing the task.
